Creating Comedy

Suitable for students in high school, ages 13 – 16 years old who have an interest in theatre and writing comedy scripts.

Learn how to recognise the patterns of comedy in scripts to create your own humourous scene.

In this workshop you will write a comedic script using techniques like sketch structure, satire and parody.

TO PREPARE: Participants will need:

• bottle of water
• snack/small packed lunch
• comfortable clothing you can move around in (e.g. active wear)
• a notebook or if preferred a devise which allows the participant to write (e.g laptop, tablet)
• a pen or pencil
