CREATING A CHARACTER

Suitable for students in high school, ages 12 – 14 years old (Years 7, 8 and 9) who have an interest in theatre and performance.

Learn essential principles of characterisation using an outside-in and inside-out approach to devising characters.

In this workshop you will use imagination, physicalisation, improvisation and script detective skills to create your own character.

TO PREPARE: Participants will need:

• bottle of water
• small nut-free snack/packed lunch
• comfortable clothing you can move around in (e.g. active wear)
• a notebook (optional)
• a pen or pencil
