Holding the Man

Australian queer culture through the lens of Timothy Conigrave’s award-winning memoir, adapted by Tommy Murphy. Stretching from the 1970s through to the early 1990s, this heartfelt and laugh-out-loud-in-the-sadness story of queer identity and the quirks of love is a poignant testament to the power of storytelling and honouring queer history.

A journey from South Sudan to the Australian stage told by the man who lived it. Written and performed by one of Belvoir’s favourites, Mandela Mathia. A joyful, poignant solo show celebrating resilience and the power of imagination.

A haunting and profound story of survival told through live music and Bharatanatyam dance. Performed by Helpmann Award-winning Vaishnavi Suryaprakash.
