This workshop takes students on the journey of creating a set design. They are given an insight into the role of the set designer within a production team and the designer’s practice throughout the production process. During the workshop students explore how to work with a director’s brief and the various possible ways of communicating their ideas. They look into the importance of research and a number of design tools like the model box, drawings and stage floor plans. The workshop includes the opportunity to view a professional designer’s portfolio as well as practical design exercises.

Times: Workshops run for 2 hours and can be scheduled for a time of your choosing, depending on availability.
