Belvoir’s iconic theatres and rehearsal rooms can be hired for your next event! Whether you are looking to host either a corporate or community event or even a private function, Belvoir offers a unique environment located minutes from the CBD with easy access to public transport. Belvoir’s theatres can be booked around our season’s performances.
Belvoir annually programs 25A, an independent theatre season. Applications are accepted once a year – we are unable to accept applications for theatre or live performances outside of this program.
Our spaces for hire include:
UPSTAIRS THEATRE
Seats: 330. Our largest space, the Upstairs Theatre comes fully equipped with a lighting rig and sound desk. If lighting and sound services are required we offer one of our technicians to manage all the technical aspects of your event. We do not hire out this space for independent theatrical performances.
DOWNSTAIRS THEATRE
Seats: 80. The more intimate Downstairs Theatre is perfect for smaller events, launches, group meetings and small conferences. Lighting and sound technician services can also be catered for using our existing team. We do not hire out this space for independent theatrical performances.
GREEN ROOM
Located on the same level as the Upstairs Theatre, the Green Room is a small space for either 35 standing or 15 seated. It is perfect for small cocktail functions, group meetings or offsites.
FOYER
Our foyer can be hired in conjunction with one of our other theatre spaces or by itself. The space can be configured for 200 standing or 80 seated. Our contracted catering team is available to provide catering, and our friendly front of house team are on hand to ensure the smooth running of your event.
REHEARSAL ROOMS
We also have three rehearsal rooms in our warehouse (just a few metres down the hill from the theatre) that can also be hired; the upstairs rehearsal room (our largest space), the downstairs rehearsal room, and the writers room (perfect for script developments). The spaces are multi-purpose and suit rehearsals of all types, or can be set up for meetings or events.
