  • Executive Assistant & Office Manager

    Belvoir is looking for an Executive Assistant to support the Artistic Director and Executive Director and help keep the creative life of the company running smoothly.

    This is a part time role (0.6 FTE) across a minimum of four days per week, working in close partnership with another Executive Assistant in a job share arrangement, supporting senior leadership and helping coordinate the day to day rhythm of the office. The role includes diary management, meeting coordination, Board administration and helping ensure the company runs efficiently behind the scenes.

    We are particularly interested in hearing from people who have worked in the creative industries, or who are returning to the workforce or reskilling into arts administration. Experience in theatre, producing, stage management, company management, marketing or other collaborative creative roles can bring valuable transferable skills to this position.

    This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, thrives on organisation and problem solving, and takes pride in helping others do their best work.

    In this role you will

    • Provide administrative and diary support to the Artistic Director and Executive Director
    • Coordinate meetings, appointments and internal communications
    • Assist with Board administration including meeting preparation and papers
    • Help manage the day to day operations of the Belvoir office
    • Support the wider team with coordination of visitors, events and internal processes
    • Help create a welcoming, organised and supportive office environment

    We are looking for someone who

    • Is highly organised and enjoys coordinating people and schedules
    • Communicates clearly and professionally
    • Is calm, discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information
    • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team environment
    • Is proactive and able to anticipate needs
    • Has an interest in theatre and the creative process

    Administrative experience is welcome but not essential. We strongly encourage applications from people with transferable skills, particularly those coming from the arts and creative industries, or those returning to work and looking to build a career in arts administration.

    Position details

    Part time 0.6 FTE (22.8 hours per week), working in a job share arrangement.
    Some evening work will be required for Board meetings and company events.

  • Stage Manager

    We are looking for an experienced Sydney-based Stage Manager to join an Australian touring production in 2026, with the potential for international touring in 2027.

    This is a full-time contract role (June to September 2026). Working closely with the Head of Production, cast, creatives and the stage management team, the Stage Manager will be responsible for coordinating rehearsals, overseeing the day to day running of the production, and ensuring the smooth delivery of performances to tour to Melbourne after the Sydney season.

    We are particularly interested in hearing from experienced Stage Managers who have worked on mainstage productions and touring work. This role requires strong leadership, calm problem solving and the ability to support a large group of artists and technicians through a busy rehearsal and performance period.

    In this role you will

    • Coordinate the day-to-day planning and running of rehearsals and performances, including rehearsal schedules and performer calls
    • Maintain the prompt script and stage management documentation, ensuring clear daily reporting to the production team
    • Lead communication between cast, creatives and production staff throughout rehearsals and performances
    • Monitor company schedules to ensure compliance with the Live Performance Award, including breaks and working hours
    • Maintain safe working practices in the rehearsal room and theatre, including rehearsal risk assessments and oversight of set, props and costume maintenance

    We are looking for someone who

    • Has substantial professional experience in Stage Management for theatre
    • Has experience touring mainstage productions (international touring is an advantage)
    • Is highly organised and calm under pressure
    • Communicates clearly and works well with artists and production teams
    • Is confident supervising and mentoring stage management staff

    Position details

    Full time contract (50 hours per week)
    Contract period June to September 2026
