What is a subscription?

A subscription is a season ticket package that, in 2022, consists of 5 – 8 Upstairs plays. Not only can you save up to $184 off the regular ticket price, but you will also gain access to the range of benefits listed above.

How do I ensure I’m seated with other friends who are subscribers?

If you are subscribing online, make sure to book together to ensure you are seated with everyone in your group. If you are subscribing via a paper form, send in all your forms together. If this is not possible, leave us a clear instruction on the form. Make sure to include all the basic information about your friend (e.g. Full name, Contact number, Email address, etc.) so we can locate them easily. However, we cannot guarantee you’ll be seated with other people in your group if the forms arrive separately.

How many subscribers can book together?

Our online subscription booking will allow up to 10 people to book together. However, you can book with as many people as you like. If you are booking with more than 10 people online, make a separate booking and let us know that you are in the same group. If you are sending us paper forms, send everyone’s forms together regardless of the number.

What is the difference between a Primary Subscriber and a Co-Subscriber?

A Primary Subscriber is the person we contact to discuss all subscription booking related matters and whose name the subscription tickets will be booked under. However, with sensitive payment issues, we will contact the individual subscribers. Co-Subscribers (formerly Companions) refer to other subscribers in the group. They are fully-fledged subscribers and receive the full benefits of being a Belvoir subscriber. There is no difference in benefits other than the Primary Subscriber being the primary contact of the group.

Can I be seated with friends who purchase single tickets throughout the year?

Yes, you can ensure you’re seated with friends who aren’t necessarily subscribers by purchasing “additional tickets” at the time of booking your subscription – at a discounted price. However, if your friend purchases his/her tickets separately throughout the year, this cannot be guaranteed.

Do I need to select dates at the time of subscribing for every performance?

Yes you do. Seats are secured and tickets are booked when you subscribe. This ensures you receive the best seats possible. If you do not have specific dates in mind, you can just choose your preferred day of the week (e.g. any Saturday at 2pm) and we’ll choose the dates and give you the best available seats. You are free to change them if you need to. See the next question.

What if my plans change and I can no longer attend the date I selected?

As a subscriber, you receive one complimentary exchange per ticket. If you are a Treasured subscriber (you’ve subscribed consecutively for 10+ years), all your exchanges are complimentary. So you can easily change your dates if they become unsuitable, subject to availability. However, if you change your ticket to a more expensive ticket you are still liable to pay the difference in ticket price. Click here to complete our online ticket exchange form. (Please note: Belvoir must receive tickets at least 48 hours prior to the booked performance in order to process an exchange. We cannot exchange tickets on the day of the performance.)

Can I offer my ticket to someone else if I cannot use it?

Yes. If you cannot make the show, you can pass your ticket on to a friend or family member. However, if you purchased concession tickets, and the person taking the ticket is not eligible for the same discount, he or she will need to come to the box office to upgrade the ticket. Downgrade is not offered.

Can I book Preview and Opening Night performances with my subscription?

Generally, the first one to three dates of each show’s season are Preview performances that you are welcome to book into. If you book a Preview package, you can only book Preview performances. Opening Nights are always by invitation only and cannot be booked as part of your subscription. Find Preview performance dates by downloading our calendar or checking the relevant production page.

Can I select my preferred seating?

Yes, you can select your own seats. If booking with a paper form, please understand that seats are secured in the order of receipt. We always do our utmost to give our patrons the very best seats available. If you have special seating preferences due to access issues and/or disability, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Do I need to specify any accessibility requirements I have when subscribing?

Yes please. You’ll be given an opportunity to address accessibility requirements when booking online. If you’re booking via a paper form, please attach a note to your booking form. We’ll do all that we can to accommodate you. More information on accessibility can be found here.

Are there payment plan options?

Yes. We currently offer a Deferred Payment option where you can spread the cost of your subscription across two instalments – 60% at the time of subscribing, and 40% on 1 February 2022. This option is only available when booking via a paper form. 

What concessions do you accept?

We offer concession prices to Pensioners, Seniors, full-time students, unemployed and Under 30s (30 and under). The appropriate ID or Australian concession card must be provided in order for your subscription to be processed. If booking online, please send through proof of ID via the link provided in your confirmation email. If booking via a paper form, please enclose a copy of your concession.
