A crocodile swallows a man whole. He survives. No one can decide what to do about it. What’s worse, he might not want to leave.

The Crocodile is Dostoyevsky’s razor toothed, political satire about the jaws of indecision. Petty bureaucrats, oversized egos, philosophical grandstanding, absurd institutions, money obsession, baffling spectacles and a civil servant living in a reptile; Mother Russia has it all. 

Lurking between a strange fever dream and a sharpened comedy of manners, lies a play exploring which monsters eat which. Funny, ferocious and alarmingly relevant, Stacks On Theatre invites you to a new, unforgettable adaptation of this 160 year old snapping tale that has kept all of its teeth.

WHAT IS 25A? 25A is a Belvoir initiative to support the artists of the future. It has been made by independent and emerging artists. They have produced and marketed it themselves. Tickets to 25A productions are $25 or $35 and Previews are $20 or $30. 100% of the ticket sales goes to the independent artists that made this show, and they split the profits evenly between each other. Tickets are available online and at the door.
