Margaret Thanos is an award-winning Cypriot-Australian director for the stage and screen, and a resident artist at BELVOIR ST. Margaret’s directing credits include the 5-star sell-out seasons of FURIOUS MATTRESS (25A), POSH (Old Fitz), I HATE PEOPLE; OR TIMON OF ATHENS (Sport for Jove), NOT NOW, NOT EVER: A PARLIAMENT OF WOMEN (25A), A VERY EXPENSIVE POISON(New Theatre), LABYRINTH(Dream Plane Productions) and A GRAIN OF SAND (KXT). 

She also has assistant directing credits on GRIEF IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME and WELL BEHAVED WOMEN (Belvoir), BENEFACTORS, MR BAILEY’S MINDER(Ensemble), THIS GENUINE MOMENT(Old 505), ANIMAL FARM(New Theatre), ORIGINATE PROJECT(Q Theatre), THE LINDEN SOLUTION(Ratcatch) and THE CHERRY ORCHARD(Chippen St). In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious SANDRA BATES DIRECTOR’S AWARD at Ensemble Theatre. 

Margaret is also an activist, with a particular focus on gender equality and climate awareness. She is one of PLAN INTERNATIONAL‘s Advocates and has done extensive interviews and public appearances. 

Coming up later this year, Margaret is directing The River at Sydney Theatre Company starring Miranda Otto.

Alex’s theatre credits include Before the Meeting (Seymour Centre); The Caucasian Chalk Circle and The Lighthouse Girl (Black Swan State Theatre Company); Eurydice, Babes in The Woods and Threnody (The Old Fitz); Spring Awakening – The Musical (ATYP); A Little Piece of Ash, DNA and Youth and Destination (KXT) and Spectrum Now’s Orfeo Ed Euridice, directed by Shannon Murphy.

Alex is about to appear in Kitty Green‘s feature film The Royal Hotel for See Saw films. Her other film credits include Mercy Road, Transfusion, and Pulse and her television credits include the series Wanted, Colin from Accounts, Home & Away, RFDS, The Heights, Les Norton and A Place to Call Home. 

Matilda Ridgway

Matilda is an award-winning actor, director, theatre maker and arts educator. She is a proud member
of MEAA.

Matilda’s credits at Belvoir include Master and Margarita (2023), Rep Season (2022), Artists at
Work (2020), and Jasper Jones (2016). Her other theatre credits include Notre Dame (Brandenburg
Orchestra); Just Romeo and Juliet!, Just Macbeth!, Hamlet, Henry IV, and The Players (Bell
Shakespeare); The Norman Conquests Trilogy, Proof, Seminar, My Wonderful Day, Rain Man,
Brooklyn Boy, Ruby Sunrise (Ensemble Theatre); Platonov, and Sweet Nothings (ATYP); The
Merchant of Venice, A Doll’s House, The Crucible, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Much Ado
About Nothing (Sport for Jove) The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant, Kayak, Cock and Sprout (Old
Fitzroy Theatre).

Her film credits include the TV series Hiding (ABC), Bump (Stan) and the films June Again, Book
Week, Disclosure, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, The Guests and Memorabilia.
The Guests was nominated for the Palme D’Or at the Cannes Film festival. Disclosure was
nominated for the ‘Best Indie Film’ at the 2021 AACTA Awards. Matilda won ‘Best Performance in
an Australian Short Film’ at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival for her role in
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. She has been nominated for three Sydney Theatre
Awards and won for her performance of Nora in A Dolls House.

Angelina Daniel

Angelina Daniel (She/her) is a Sydney-based emerging Set and Costume Designer for live performance. A Mirror is her mainstage debut!

Angelina’s other recent design credits include Furious Mattress downstairs at 25A (Set Design),  Miss Julie at FortyFiveDownstairs (Production Design) and Abigail Williams at Wharf 2 STC (Set and Costume Design). Angelina also worked with Elizabeth Gadsby on Sydney Theatre Company’s Picnic at Hanging Rock and with Pip Runchiman on Sydney Festival’s Siegfried and Roy. 

Angelina graduated with a BFA from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (2024) and was awarded the APDG Most Outstanding Award for the Design for Performance Course. Angelina is proud of her position on the National Executive of the APDG (Australian Production Design Guild) as an Emerging Designer Representative.

Daniel Herten (they/them) is a Sound Designer, Composer, Video Designer and Creative Technologist working across live performance and interactive media. Belvoir credits include: A Mirror; for Belvoir 25A, Furious Mattress composer. Daniel won a 2025 Sydney Theatre Award for Best Sound Design and Composition of a Mainstage Production for Grief is the Thing with Feathers (with Freya Schack-Arnott) and was nominated in the same category for The Lewis Trilogy in 2024.  Daniel was the Australian sound associate for The Picture of Dorian Gray on Broadway (Michael Cassell Group) where the production received a total of six Tony Award® nominations, including Best Sound Design of a Play.

Elle Evangelista

Elle Evangelista loves dancing. Her BELVOIR choreography credits include Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, Holding the Man, The Master and Margarita, The Cherry Orchard, The Boomkak Panto, The Rep Season and Furious Mattress (25a). Her other theatre choreography credits include Mackenzie, Twelfth Night (Bell Shakespeare), A Very Expensive Poison (NIDA) and Where to Catch A Star and  How To Catch A Star (Australian Chamber Orchestra).

As a dancer she has worked for Force Majeure, KAGE Physical Theatre, Opera Australia and she has been awarded residencies to create new work by Ausdance NSW, DirtyFeet, Critical Path, March Dance, Brand X and Supercell Festival of Contemporary Dance. From 2019 – 2021, Elle was an Artist Representative on the Board of Critical Path and in 2022 a Belvoir Artistic Associate.

Elle has a Bachelor of Arts in English from UWA and a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from WAAPA. She was raised on Boorloo/Perth by her Filipino and Burmese family and currently lives on Garigal Land in Sydney with her partner and their young son.

Nigel Poulton

Nigel is an award-winning fight, movement, and intimacy director, SAG-AFTRA stunt performer and actor with over 17 years of national and international experience. He is a Fight Master with the Society of American Fight Directors.

Diego is a Chilean-Australian actor and fight choreographer based in Sydney/Gadigal with a B. Performance from Theatre Nepean’s final graduating year in 2008. Harry Milas

Harry Milas is Australia’s leading sleight of hand specialist, based in Sydney. He has designed impossible stage illusions with theatre companies around Australia and he has been featured in the Guardian, Telegraph and enjoyed many TV appearances. He currently performs his award winning close up a show in a residency at the South-East pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Laura Farrell

Laura Farrell (she/her) is a Voice and Dialect Coach living and working on Gadigal land. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Voice from NIDA, a Postgraduate Diploma in Voice from the Victorian College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Music Theatre from the Victorian College of the Arts. Laura is an Associate Lecturer at NIDA and a certified teacher of Knight Thompson Speechwork and Vocal Combat Technique.
