Anthony Burgess

Tom Wright

Tom has written a number of award-winning plays and adaptations, including The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, The Real and Imagined History of the Elephant Man, Picnic at Hanging Rock, The Caucasian Chalk Circle, The War of the Roses, The Lost Echo, Lorilei, Medea, Babes in the Wood, Baal, Optimism, On the Misconception of Oedipus, The Histrionic, and Black Diggers. He was Associate Director of Sydney Theatre Company from 2004 to 2012. He is currently Artistic Associate at Belvoir, for whom he adapted Life of Galileo in 2019 and Bliss in 2018, and has worked as an actor and director at Playbox (now Malthouse Theatre), Melbourne Theatre Company, State Theatre Company of South Australia, La Mama, Company B, Anthill, Gilgul, Mene Mene, Bell Shakespeare, Chunky Move, Black Swan and Chamber Made Opera.

Margaret Thanos

Margaret Thanos is an award-winning Cypriot-Australian director for the stage and screen, and a resident artist at BELVOIR ST. Margaret’s directing credits include the 5-star sell-out seasons of FURIOUS MATTRESS (25A), POSH (Old Fitz), I HATE PEOPLE; OR TIMON OF ATHENS (Sport for Jove), NOT NOW, NOT EVER: A PARLIAMENT OF WOMEN (25A), A VERY EXPENSIVE POISON(New Theatre), LABYRINTH(Dream Plane Productions) and A GRAIN OF SAND (KXT). 

She also has assistant directing credits on GRIEF IS THE THING WITH FEATHERS, AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME and WELL BEHAVED WOMEN (Belvoir), BENEFACTORS, MR BAILEY’S MINDER(Ensemble), THIS GENUINE MOMENT(Old 505), ANIMAL FARM(New Theatre), ORIGINATE PROJECT(Q Theatre), THE LINDEN SOLUTION(Ratcatch) and THE CHERRY ORCHARD(Chippen St). In 2023, she was awarded the prestigious SANDRA BATES DIRECTOR’S AWARD at Ensemble Theatre. 

Margaret is also an activist, with a particular focus on gender equality and climate awareness. She is one of PLAN INTERNATIONAL‘s Advocates and has done extensive interviews and public appearances. 

Coming up later this year, Margaret is directing The River at Sydney Theatre Company starring Miranda Otto.

Paula received a Helpmann Award nomination for Best Female Actor for her work in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She won a Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor, received a Green Room Award nomination and a Sydney Theatre Award nomination for her performance in The Bleeding Tree. She received a Sydney Theatre Award nomination for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for Three Furies; a Helpmann Award nomination for Best Female Actor in a Musical for Three Penny Opera; a Green Room Award nomination for Female Actor in a lead role and a Sydney Morning Herald Award for Best Actress for her performance in Antony And Cleopatra; a Green Room Award for Female Actor in a Featured Role and a Glugg Award for Best Up and Coming Actor for Henry V; and the Green Room Award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role for The Tempest.

Rose Riley

Rose Riley is a graduate of Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). Her theatre credits include The Glass Menagerie for Belvoir (winner of the Green Room Award for Best Actress); Harp in the South and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Sydney Theatre Company; Romeo and Juliet, Richard 3 and Hamlet for Bell Shakespeare; Love for Darlinghurst Theatre Company; the touring production of 1984 for GWB Entertainment; Flood for Black Swan Theatre Co. Television credits include The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart, Mr Inbetween, Home and Away, Back to the Rafters, Stateless, Total Control, Diary of an Uber Driver, Mystery Road and The Secret City. Rose’s film credits include Proclivitas, Book Week, The Death and Life of Otto Bloom and Truth.

Brittany Santariga

Born and raised in North Queensland, Brittany’s screen credits include Critical Incident (Stan), Latecomers (SBS), Fighting Season (Foxtel) & Home and Away (Channel 7).

Brittany’s theatre credits include Romeo & Juliet and King Lear (Bell Shakespeare), Orphans and Othello (Theatre iNQ), How to Defend Yourself (Outhouse Theatre Company), Glitter Punch, For the Time Being (Stacks On Theatre).

In 2024, Latecomers received an AACTA award for Best Online Drama or Comedy.

Upon graduating from WAAPA, Brittany received the LAGRAL/Jackman Furness Foundation for Performing Arts: Chris Edmund Scholarship.

Angelina Daniel

Angelina Daniel (She/her) is a Sydney-based emerging Set and Costume Designer for live performance. A Mirror is her mainstage debut!

Angelina’s other recent design credits include Furious Mattress downstairs at 25A (Set Design),  Miss Julie at FortyFiveDownstairs (Production Design) and Abigail Williams at Wharf 2 STC (Set and Costume Design). Angelina also worked with Elizabeth Gadsby on Sydney Theatre Company’s Picnic at Hanging Rock and with Pip Runchiman on Sydney Festival’s Siegfried and Roy. 

Angelina graduated with a BFA from the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (2024) and was awarded the APDG Most Outstanding Award for the Design for Performance Course. Angelina is proud of her position on the National Executive of the APDG (Australian Production Design Guild) as an Emerging Designer Representative.

Paul is a multi-award-winning designer who has worked with Australia’s leading arts organisations and internationally. He is a Churchill Fellow and an Australia Council Fellow. Paul is accredited with the Australian Production Design Guild.

Sam Cheng

Sam Cheng (she/he/they) is an Asian-Australian composer, sound designer, instrumentalist, and graduate from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Recent theatre credits include: Composer and Sound designer for Sydney Theatre Company (American Signs), Belvoir 25A (Saturday Girls), New Ghosts Theatre Company (Cut Chilli, Albion, Sitting Screaming, Frame Narrative, For the Grace of You Go I), Slanted Theatre (Boom, Ching Chong Chinaman), Kwento (The Marriage Agency), Purple Tape Productions (Maa Ki Rasoi), Makhazzi Productions (Yalla to Lebanon), Fruitbox Theatre (French Letters & Leather Cleaner), and more.
