An exciting opportunity to add to your portfolio and shape the future of Belvoir St Theatre by safeguarding its greatest asset: it’s home.
We are on the hunt for dedicated professionals to join the Board of Company A – the guardian of Belvoir’s theatre building and facilities.

Forty years ago, a passionate community came together to save this building from a demolition, laying the foundations for the thriving company we know today. Company A continue this legacy by caring for our spaces, ensuring they remain welcoming, safe and inspiring for artists and audiences alike. You will also collaborate alongside Company B Directors on the future redevelopment plan.

Please note this is a volunteer position.

Who we are looking for?

Someone who has a passion and appreciation for the arts. Ideally, you’ll bring experience in one or more of the following areas: Facility management, property development, compliance, environmental and sustainability service and/or finance. Whether you’re a contractor, supplier, fire safety expert, roofer, we are open to all kinds of experience and perspectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting the appreciation and enjoyment of theatrical performances in all its forms through:

  • hold and maintain the premises in Belvoir Street, Surry Hills for presentation of performances and administration purposes.
  • Collaborating with the City of Sydney on permits, compliance, and operational matters
  • Helping maintain and improve our facilities at Belvoir Street
  • Ensuring our premises continue to be an inspiring home for theatre productions in New South Wales

Time Commitment:

Board meeting occur around 4 times a year.
