Work Experience

All about work experience

Unfortunately, due to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), Belvoir has made the difficult but necessary decision cancel our Work Experience program for the foreseeable future.  The health and safety of our audience, staff and actors is always our first priority.

As our company is operating under changed conditions, it is no longer possible for us to host students during this time. Due to the uncertainty of the coming months we would encourage students to find an alternative placement if required by your school. It is unlikely that we will resume the Work Experience program for 2021.

About the program

Every year we offer work experience to Year 10 students who are interested in the work of a professional theatre company.

We accept Year 10 students for three days of work experience with Belvoir. Please be aware that places are limited as we are only able to accept one student per month. We especially encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students interested in learning about the work of a professional theatre company, to apply for work experience with us.

Belvoir offers work experience to fit in with our production schedule. We want our student visitors to experience and see as much as possible. Therefore we have specific weeks when we can take on work experience students.

Belvoir’s Work Experience Program is currently on hold for 2021
