We are looking for teachers interested in how to teach theatre productions as texts in performance, how a script goes from page to stage and how live theatre can enhance your classroom teaching and student learning.

If you are invested in connecting your teaching practice with industry know-how, and are looking to connect with a professional theatre company to support your faculty, this package is for you!

Dates and times

Belvoir productions play in our Upstairs Theatre at Belvoir St Theatre, 25 Belvoir Street, Surry Hills on the following days of the week.

Your pre-show event can commence 1 hour – 1.5 hours before the show time. Your night might look like this:

6:30pm Guests arrive and welcomed with dedicated ticket manager on the Mezzanine level.
6:35pm Guests directed to the Belvoir ‘Green Room’ for welcome drinks

  • Selection of Handpicked Wines, Coopers Beer and Poor Toms Gin
  • A selection of non-alcoholic drink options
  • A selection of delicious catering from Bourke St Bakery
7:00pm Pre-performance talk with a member of our Artistic & Programming team, providing behind-the-scenes insight into the play’s themes and process of production
7:20pm Guests directed to their seats by dedicated front of house staff
7:30pm Act 1 commences
7:40pm Interval – Green Room – beverages provided
8:00pm Act 2 commences

    Program Dates

    As part of this program you will attend one production each term, these nominated performances will commence with an industry professional pre-show talk commencing at 6PM, followed by a performance at 7.30PM. You will be booked in for the dates below when you join the program.

    • Song of First Desire, from 6PM Thursday 13 March 2025 (TERM 1, WEEK 7)
    • The Wrong Gods, from 6PM Thursday 15 May 2025 (TERM 2, WEEK 1)
    • Grief is the Thing with Feathers, from 6PM Thursday 7 August 2025 (TERM 3, WEEK 9)
    • Meow Meow's The Red Shoes, from 6PM Thursday 16 October 2025 (TERM 4, WEEK 6)

    As well as the above dates, we will have a follow-up session with an experienced teacher. The Digital Salon will take place online, after school hours the week following the performance. Digital Salons are a, strongly encouraged, however optional, part of the program.
