Imagine your entire life has been confined to a single room. Your only source of entertainment? Grainy ’90s VHS tapes of a family you’ve never met—and Clotaldo, the only man you’ve ever known, who visits once a day. For twenty-eight years, this has been your world. Then one day, you’re drugged, dragged to a castle, and told you’re the Prince of Poland.

Pedro Calderón de la Barca’s play about fate, free will and the boundaries of reality is re-imagined by theatre makers Claudia Osborne (FERVOUR.) and Solomon Thomas (re:group performance collective).

What a strange and intoxicating half-waking dream… With an aptly fervent hand, director Claudia Osborne has enacted a singular vision with this sparsely plotted and engrossing work, and her cast and creative team is with her all the way

Experimental in form, intimate in emotion, and often oblique, re:group performance collective’s theatre productions stretch the possibilities of the artform to strange new places while telling small, personal stories

WHAT IS 25A? 25A is a Belvoir initiative to support the artists of the future. It has been made by independent and emerging artists. They have produced and marketed it themselves. They get 100% of the box office and the theatre for free. Their task is to make a show for less than $2500. Thanks for supporting the artists of the future.
