Eamon Flack

Eamon Flack is the Artistic Director of Belvoir St Theatre. He was born in Singapore and grew up in Singapore, Darwin, Cootamundra and Brisbane. He trained as an actor at WAAPA from 2001 to 2003 and has since worked as a director and writer around Australia and internationally, from the Tiwi Islands to Sri Lanka, London and New York. 

His directing credits for Belvoir include: Counting and Cracking (with Associate Director S. Shakthidharan, Helpmann Award for Best Play and Best Direction of a Play), The Jungle and the Sea (co-directed with S. Shakthidharan, Sydney Theatre Award for Best Play), The Master and Margarita, Angels in America (Helpmann Award for Best Play), August: Osage County (Sydney Theatre Awards for Best Director and Best Show), The Glass Menagerie (Helpmann Award for Best Play), Tommy Murphy’s Packer & Sons, Rita Kalnejais’s Babyteeth, Alana Valentine’s Wayside Bride (co-directed with Hannah Goodwin), Tom Wright’s adaptation of Brecht’s Life of Galileo, Eamon’s own adaptations of Helen Garner’s The Spare Room, Hendrik Ibsen’s Ghosts, and Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and Ivanov (Sydney Theatre Awards Best Production and Best Director), as well as Into the Woods, The Rover, The Blind Giant is Dancing, As You Like It, and Beckett’s The End. Other directing credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bob Presents/B Sharp) and Wulamanayuwi and the Seven Pamanui by Jason de Santis (Darwin Festival). 

His writing and adaptation credits include: Associate Writer of S. Shakthidharan’s Counting and Cracking (Nick Enright Prize for Playwriting at the NSW Premier’s Literary Awards, the Victorian Literary Prize and the Victorian Premier’s Award for Drama, Helpmann for Best New Work), co-writer with S. Shakthidharan of The Jungle and the Sea (Victorian Premier’s Award for Drama, Sydney Theatre Awards for Best New Work); Helen Garner’s The Spare Room; a stage adaptation of Christina Stead’s The Man Who Loved Children; Chekhov’s The Cherry Orchard and Ivanov, Gorky’s Summerfolk, Sophocles’ Antigone and Ibsen’s Ghosts; co-adapter with Leah Purcell of Ruby Langford Ginibi’s memoir Don’t Take Your Love To Town; and co-deviser of Beautiful One Day with artists from ILBIJERRI, version 1.0, and the community of Palm Island. 

 For orchestral concert he has adapted and directed A Midsummer Night’s Dream alongside Mendelssohn’s score for the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Belvoir St Theatre conducted by Simone Young, and directed and co-created Beethoven and Bridgetower with Anna Goldsworthy, Rita Dove and Richard Tognetti for the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Luke Mullins

Luke is an actor, performance maker and director across theatre, film and television.

At Belvoir, Luke has appeared in The Glass Menagerie, Back At The Dojo, Angels in America, Small & Tired, Death of Salesman, The Power of Yes, Thom Paine (Based on Nothing) and The Eisteddfod.

In the UK, Luke has worked extensively in theatre, his credits include The Stones, And Tell Sad Stories of the Death of Queens at Kings Head Theatre, The Maids at Home Manchester, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead at the Old Vic and Waiting For Godot at The Barbican.

He has worked throughout  Australia including for Sydney Theatre Company: Waiting for Godot, Long Day’s Journey Into Night, War of the Roses, The Season at Sarsaparilla, Little Mercy, The Duel, Gallipoli, The Serpents Teeth, Tales From the Vienna Woods. Melbourne Theatre Company: Endgame, Cloud Nine, The History Boys, Oedipus. Malthouse Theatre: Night on Bald Mountain,  Autobiography of Red as well as working with independent companies including Stuck Pigs Squealing: The Eisteddfod, Apocalypse Bear Trilogy, 4xBeckett and directed Night Maybe. Uninvited Guests: I Heart John Mcenroe, The Man with the September Face. For Theatreworks/Griffin Independent: Mercury Fur. His work as a performance maker has been supported by The Australia Council for the Arts, Arts Victoria, Bell Shakespeare, Playwriting Australia and presented at Theatre Works, Performance Space, Carriageworks and Arts House. He co-wrote and Performed the solo piece Lake Disappointment and co-created and performed Irony is Not Enough: Essay on My Life as Catherine Deneuve.

Luke’s film and television career includes Holding the Man and RIOT, and he recently appeared in the hit series The Spanish Princess.  Luke also appeared in Darby and Joan, Joe vs Carole and BBC One’s Life and New Blood.

He has received a Helpmann Award, Sydney Theatre Award, Green Room Award and the George Fairfax Memorial Award.

Matilda Ridgway

Matilda is an award-winning actor, director, theatre maker and arts educator. She is a proud member
of MEAA.

Matilda’s credits at Belvoir include Master and Margarita (2023), Rep Season (2022), Artists at
Work (2020), and Jasper Jones (2016). Her other theatre credits include Notre Dame (Brandenburg
Orchestra); Just Romeo and Juliet!, Just Macbeth!, Hamlet, Henry IV, and The Players (Bell
Shakespeare); The Norman Conquests Trilogy, Proof, Seminar, My Wonderful Day, Rain Man,
Brooklyn Boy, Ruby Sunrise (Ensemble Theatre); Platonov, and Sweet Nothings (ATYP); The
Merchant of Venice, A Doll’s House, The Crucible, A Midsummer Nights Dream and Much Ado
About Nothing (Sport for Jove) The Bitter Tears of Petra Von Kant, Kayak, Cock and Sprout (Old
Fitzroy Theatre).

Her film credits include the TV series Hiding (ABC), Bump (Stan) and the films June Again, Book
Week, Disclosure, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, The Guests and Memorabilia.
The Guests was nominated for the Palme D’Or at the Cannes Film festival. Disclosure was
nominated for the ‘Best Indie Film’ at the 2021 AACTA Awards. Matilda won ‘Best Performance in
an Australian Short Film’ at the Flickerfest International Short Film Festival for her role in
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. She has been nominated for three Sydney Theatre
Awards and won for her performance of Nora in A Dolls House.

Morgan Moroney

Morgan Moroney is an award-winning lighting and video designer for theatre, opera, dance and installation. Growing up on Kaurna land, he currently lives and works primarily on Gadigal land.

Morgan’s work includes: AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY, KING LEAR, SONG OF FIRST DESIRE and NAYIKA: A DANCING GIRL (Belvoir), SHITTY (Belvoir 25A), APHRODITE (Sydney Chamber Opera), DIDO & AENEAS, LA SERVA PADRONA (Pinchgut Opera), FLY GIRL, THE QUEEN’S NANNY, SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER and CLYDE’S (Ensemble), THE BARBER OF SEVILLE (Opera Australia National Tour), TURN OF THE SCREW (Hayes Theatre Co),CLEANSED (Redline),  INFERNO (Australian Brandenburg Orchestra),CAMP (Siren Theatre Co), ANATOMY OF A SUICIDE (Sugary Rum), THE DRY and THE WET (Circa Cairns), SAPLINGS and SHACK (ATYP) and COLLAPSIBLE (essential workers), which he also co-directed.


Morgan is a NIDA graduate. In 2025, he was awarded the Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grant and Freddie J Gibson Fellowship to travel to London with Nick Schlieper alongside Kip Williams’ DRACULA on the West End.  Morgan’s Associate Designer work includes PHANTOM OF THE OPERA ON SYDNEY HARBOUR (Opera Australia) and MAUREEN: HARBINGER OF DEATH (Soft Tread).

Morgan has received the 2024 Michael Northen Award for emerging Lighting Designers, administered by the Association for Lighting Production and Design in the UK, 2023 Sydney Theatre Award in Best Independent Lighting Design, NIDA X Storytelling Futures Grant and APDG Award in Lighting Design, and 2020 APDG Emerging Designer for Live Performance.
