Sharon Millerchip

Sharon is one of the busiest actors on the Australian stage with a swag of awards, including three Helpmanns. Most recently Sharon appeared in Small Mouth Sounds for the Darlinghurst Theatre and starred as Penny Anderson in the world premiere of The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race for Ensemble Theatre. Other stage roles include Roxie Hart in Chicago, Meg Giry in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies, Belle in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Passepartout in Around the World in 80 Days, Anita in West Side Story, Charity in Sweet Charity, Catherine in Pippin, Meg Giry in The Phantom of the Opera, Velma Kelly in Chicago, Columbia in Rocky Horror Show, Sonia Walsk in They’re Playing Our Song and Demeter in Cats. For the Ensemble Theatre Sharon played the eponymous heroine in Shirley Valentine, starred in A Picasso, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers and played every role in the smash hit Bombshells. For the STC Sharon played Cordelia in Falsettos, and Little Red Riding Hood in Into the Woods. Sharon was also resident director and Resident Choreographer on Disney’s blockbuster Aladdin and Strictly Ballroom with Baz Luhrmann.
