Belvoir is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Australian fashion house, Romance was Born to produce two beautiful, limited edition masks. These masks are exclusive to Belvoir with all funds supporting the theatre company as it recovers from a six-month shut down period and returns to staging live shows again.
Available in two limited edition prints – a floral, designed exclusively by Anna Plunkett from Romance was Born, and a graphic eye print from Archibald prize-winning Australian artist, Del Kathryn Barton, these masks are truly original, with a strictly limited run of 150 of each print available for sale.
Belvoir Chair Sam Meers AO said “I’m delighted that two outstanding Australian brands known globally for their creativity, resourcefulness and humanity can come together to provide a beautiful and practical solution to help Belvoir and our audience as they return to the theatre”.
Anna Plunkett of Romance Was Born said “Collaboration is key to Romance Was Born. We think it’s so important to work aside other creative minds and practices to enrich our work even more. And especially now, more than ever, we need to work together and find new ways to work and create and support one another”.
Masks are available for purchase from the Belvoir Box office for $45 each or online (+ postage) until sold out.
All proceeds go towards Belvoir to assist in the company’s recovery following the COVID-19 closures.
