Although we are starting to glimpse a light at the end of this long, dark COVID-19 filled tunnel, we have made the difficult decision to postpone Miss Peony until our 2021 season. But we can assure you it will be worth the wait!

Australia has been very lucky, we all followed the rules and have managed to escape the worst of it. But without more certainty we cannot start rehearsals on this show. We cannot start building sets. We cannot do justice to this wonderfully exuberant play. While restrictions are easing and many businesses have been able to begin rumbling back into gear, sadly theatre needs more time and less social distancing to be truly viable.

Miss Peony will be on the Belvoir stage in July 2021. We hope you will keep your tickets and we will be back in touch with confirmed dates. If you prefer and are able, you can contribute the cost of your ticket as a tax deductible donation. We are also very happy to process a refund or credit. Let us know you preference HERE.

I’m so thrilled that Miss Peony has been moved forward to 2021. My priority has always been the health and safety of the staff and creatives at Belvoir and our Miss Peony team, and with everyone putting the hard work into self isolating it’s meant that we can bring the show back with even greater joy and excitement than ever before. We’re so excited to see you all next year.

Stay safe, we are almost through this journey. We are looking forward to sharing a drink in the Hal Bar (and a liberal dose of hand sanitiser) with you very soon.

Onwards.
