About

Want to know how it all happens and what we’ve got planned for the future?

25A Season Launch:

After a successful 2019, 25A returns in 2020 for a third season. Belvoir’s low-cost, independent theatre program, 25A, creates space for a range of artists and creatives, and we’re delighted to announce a new season of eight productions. Now with two seasons under our belt, 25A is gaining momentum, so come and celebrate the varied shows we’ve programmed in 2020.

Q&A with the Programming Team + New Associate Artist:

It’s been a massive year upstairs too, so we thought this would be a timely opportunity to get Belvoir’s Artistic and Programming team to sit down for a discussion, diving into the decision making processes that go towards the programming of a season, our new work development and all things creative at Belvoir, including Belvoir’s new Associate Artist S.Shakthidharan. Hosted by outgoing Andrew Cameron Fellow Carissa Licciardello (A Room of One’s Own – Belvoir, 2020), you’ll hear from the team about the work that they do, how/why they do it and pathways to become involved.

Writer Lab Launch + New Andrew Cameron Fellow:

Speaking of avenues for artists, at the event we will also be announcing the participants of our inaugural Writers’ Lab (an evolution of the Philip Parsons Emerging Writers Fellowship) supported by the Oranges & Sardines Foundation, as well as the recipient of the Andrew Cameron Fellow for 2020. The Andrew Cameron Fellowship, supported by and in honour of our former Chair Andrew Cameron AM, is a position within the company for an emerging theatre-maker with a demonstrated portfolio of high quality work.

It’s going to be a great night celebrating a wide range of creative opportunities; please so join us for a chat and a drink as we celebrate new artistic projects the range of ways artists can get involved with the company… Belvoir and 25A in 2020 is going to be something special.

Kick off at 6.30.
