Christy Tran is a Sydney based actor currently studying a BFA Acting at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA), and is set to graduate at the end of the year.
Originally from Melbourne, Christy’s love of performance started at a young age after her mum enrolled her into her first dance class. She later went on to study in the dance program at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS) which led to her discovering a passion for acting, eventually graduating from the Theatre program in 2018.
Christy has performed in various plays at NIDA, most recently in a collaboration between The STC Emerging Writers Group (James Elazzi, Jordyn Fulcher, Enoch Mailangi and Wendy Mocke) and the CAAP Directors Initiative (Courtney Stewart, Tasnim Hossain, Kenneth Moraleda, Jennifer Rani) with NIDA called Eat Me.
Christy is thrilled to be apart of the Miss Peony cast, making her professional debut on the Belvoir stage.
