Belvoir’s Community Access Program provides opportunities for audiences to see our work, regardless of economic status, age or geographical location.
The program is made up of two key components:
1) The Unwaged Performance Program provides open access to our work by minimising the financial and social barriers that prevent theatre attendance. Up to eight matinee performances each year are performed free-of-charge for unwaged members of the community.
2) The Charitable Tickets Program provides 600 tickets annually to nominated community groups and charitable organisations.
Through these programs, thousands of people from charities including The Cancer Council, Beyondblue, Kids Help Line, Mission Australia, The Salvation Army, The Starlight Children’s Foundation, World Vision and Youth Off the Streets are able to attend Belvoir shows for free.
It is a generous gesture by Belvoir to provide an experience for people who may not normally be able to attend the theatre.
