The 2008 National Tour began in Perth in January and played its last season at the Seymour Centre, Sydney in August 2007.
Bursting into life at the 2005 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Company B has since taken Keating! on to a record-breaking four sold out seasons in Sydney. The winner of the 2008 Helpmann Award for Best Regional Touring Production and the 2007 Helpmann Award for Best Musical nears its final ever performance on 31 August, concluding its national tour.
Casey Bennetto’s scathingly hilarious lyrics and glee-inducing array of musical styles tear through the reign and tragic fall of the Placido Domingo of Australian politics. Part French farce, part Greek tragedy, and all Australian history, “the musical we had to have” transports you back to a time less politically grey.
