Optus is proud to be the exclusive sponsor of the Community Access Program and partner with Company B to grow this worthwhile initiative. The Program helps Optus to further support our Workplace Giving Charities, such as Youth off the Streets and Mission Australia by giving free-of-charge tickets to financially disadvantaged members of the community. |
Optus Community Access ProgramThe Optus Community Access Program was consolidated in March 2006 and is made up of two key components: Company B Belvoir's established Unwaged Performance Program (which is also supported by City of Sydney) and a Charitable Tickets Program. The Unwaged Performance ProgramCompany B Belvoir aims to provide access to the company's work by minimising the financial and social reasons that deter attendance by potential audiences. One of the key programs run by Company B Belvoir to provide open access to its work is the Unwaged Performance Program. One mid-week matinee performance of each production is performed free-of-charge for unwaged members of the community. Entry is via display of an individual's health care card. This unique initiative has been in place for twenty years and ensures that the most financially disadvantaged members of the community are still able to attend live theatre performances. The tickets are used by charities for fundraising activities or as rewards and incentives for staff and volunteers. |
